12 Detox Recipes for Your After-Holiday Tummy

Let’s be honest here, guys, we all tend to indulge a little bit during the holidays. Or not a little bit. Maybe a lot. Sometimes too much, actually.

And you know what? That’s perfectly fine!

You can’t restrain yourself for the whole year! There should be a time when you can just let loose and treat yourself. And December is the perfect moment for that!

But when January comes and we all have to get back to our normal lives, sometimes you look in the mirror and see that holiday season left it’s mark on you.

Tummy looks bloated, skin is breaking out a little and you gained a couple pounds? Have no fear!

All you need to do is change your diet and incorporate some detox foods in it! And when December’s temptations are gone, it’s not that difficult to do.

Here I’ve come up with a list of recipes that will help to get rid of those toxins, as well as flood your body with nutrients that help combat the damage caused by alcohol, overeating and stress (who has stress-free holidays? Last time it happened to me I was like 12).

Let’s start with the king of detox – green smoothie! This one is packed with nutrients and flavor! Kale, lemon and celery will detox your body while chia seeds and banana will fill you up for a long time.

But you can’t go all day on just smoothies! Let’s think about something more lunch-like, this salmon salad for example. I’m not a big fan of fish, but I never mind a nice juicy piece of salmon! Not every day you get a chance to eat something purple!

    All these recipes look amazing. I’m on a smoothie kick so I’ll be trying those first. I love Ginger anything so that ginger lemonade is something I’m adding in for sure.
