I mean in January you can go on pure enthusiasm, even if you don’t have time, don’t have certain goals or kids distract you all the time. But later enthusiasm fades and if you didn’t think ahead and didn’t organize the whole process – chances are, those dumbbells are going to stay dusty again.

Hi Jane! This post is right on time. Mt resolutions are to clear the clutter and get organized, especially digitally. As a natural born list maker, I have tons of papers and post-its everywhere. My goal is to use Asana.com and/or Evernote.com to help clean it all up. My brain can only take so much so I need to be able to store everything in one place so that my tasks, ideas and projects don’t get lost. I am sure that once I start there, my organization will spill over into other areas especially my home. Thanks for the ideas, I am definitely going to put them to good use. Cheers!

I’m glad you liked them, Dorian! I also have a problem with those papers filled with ideas, sometimes they’re just everywhere!

An organized closet is key! I bought some closet labels from Amazon, similar to how one would organize baby clothes, and I helps me keep my clothes organized and easy to find.

Hello Jane! It sounds like I am right on target until you mentioned the digital organization. It’s so easy to stockpile emails. I have a habit of reading the relevant ones and overlooking the non-relevant ones. It’s probably time for me to go and “unsubscribe” from some email lists, and delete some emails. I probably should do the same thing in my Google Drive. Thanks for the reminder!

You’re welcome, Tiffany! For me the reality is if I don’t read the email right away – chances are I won’t read it at all, so I might just delete it. And maybe it’s the right time to unsubscribe from some lists for me too, I’ve been deleting a lot of unread emails lately!
